Anyone know where my parkhome is?

#0, by lifesuregroup, 19 June 2010 08:28 AM

A strange parkhome story.........

We received notification that a client had deceased in March and the property would be unoccupied as a result. The owner's son was executor of the will and the beneficiary of the property.

He visited the park this week to prepare the home for sale and got the shock of his life! The parkhome was no longer there! The area had since been landscaped and a new base installed ready for a new home.

He rang the park owner's office several times asking to speak to the owner or manager and reception told him someone would call him. He has chased them up several times to no avail. He asked neighbours if they knew anything but they had no idea what had happened to the home.

The son has no idea if the home was demolished or simply moved but is now taking legal advice and will get a solicitor to write to the park owner to ask what happened to the property.

From an insurance point of view theft from home is covered but I think this is the first incident I have seen for a possible theft of home.

Will keep you posted with updates..............

Strange indeed...........

Stranger that the neighbours didn't know what happened to the home. Its a little difficult to move a park home in utter silence over night when everyone is sleeping! Not that I have tried, you understand! smile

This used to be one of the arguments for not being able to obtain a mortgage, because a home could be towed away. Seems like it could just have happened!

We await with interest.

Ed.

Are their any crop circles in the vicinity?

The size wasn't mentioned but we all know some of these homes are 40+ foot long!

Quite a feat to carry out unnoticed.

No, not the blue one.
Ours is the red and white at the bottom.

Of course it's the biggest and we can collect a toll from everyone who has to cross our garden to get to the ladder.

Not bad is it?
Seven units and only one pitch fee!
lol
