Moving south
Re: Moving south
Hi Shimon_73,
Welcome to the forum!
I'll leave you to other members who might have done this, but I can't imagine it would be any different to moving from any kind of home to another, or perhaps you had a specific question in mind?

Re: Moving south
Welcome to the forum.
One park home to another dosent sound quite so bad.
Moving from a 3 bed house with attic, garage 2 large sheds, all full of REALLY good stuff (?) bothers me.
I have visions of turning up at our future park home, unloading the van, filling the home to the brim and still finding the van is half full!

Don't worry about old age; it doesn't last long!
Re: Moving south
Hello shimon, Im sure Ed can give you more information than I can , but yes there are companies out there who do move park homes, a member of my family rang Tingdene this morning asking this very question for myself ............we are still in the dark as waiting for someone to get back to us, but Ile willingly pass on whatever I find out..evergreen
Re: Moving south
Actually I meant move the park home itself to another site

Ah shimon_73
That is entirely a different kettle of fish!
I can give you a list of transport companies to move your home, but I can't give you the name of one park owner who would accept it on to their park! Well actually, no, that isn't true! I can give you the name of a company who did accept other park homes provided they were to a certain standard, but would charge £50,000 for preparing a base and taking up a space where he could have sold a new home. I doubt whether that offer still stands though, as it was made during the recession and having spoken to their General Manager only yesterday, he tells me that they are now selling well.
You will have to sell your park home where it is located now and then purchase another on the park of your choice down south.

Re: Moving south
Hi, I recently asked the question about moving my park home and was told it would be £15,000 just to move the home. You then have to find somewhere who would take you, I did, but then there is the cost of plot, connecting to services and building of brick skirt and fencing for area. I was told I would be looking in the region of £30k - £50k in total for everthing - needless to say my park home is for sale!!
