Park home exchange

#0, by ironfever, 12 September 2010 11:27 PM

Does anyone know whether there is a facility that allows current park home owners to exchange with home owners on parks abroad thus giving both parties a reletively cheap holiday and a look at park life in different countries. If there isnt does anyone think its a good idea and more important is it feasable.

Hi Ironfever,

This isn't an option I'm afraid. Only those named on the Agreement under the Mobile Home Act 1983 are entitled to live in your home and guests whilst you are in situ.

Hi editor

thanks for the reply and for the up to date legislation on the idea. Although admittedly it was just a post to get people talking on here I do think there could be mileage in the idea.
In my humble opinion a holiday exchange option could be good for the owner and park home industry in general. There would be cheap park exchange holidays on offer. It would give owners looking to up or downsize  a feel for what other makes of property were like as well as other parks both home and abroad. The whole park home industry would be alive and swarming with activity. Every park home owner could have this option which they may or may not take up. just a thought and maybe a definite no go. It would be interesting to see how many owners would opt for it.

Hi Ironfever

I see where you are coming from, but 'legislation' sometimes has a reason.

However, it might be an idea for our holiday website www.justlodges.com. In fact, if we weren't so busy rebuilding both of our websites at the moment, we would be looking into the idea of 'twinning' with another lodge park in the States for example. Perhaps I should put you in charge!!
