Hi Peterp100 and welcome to the forum,

I have known this company for many. many years. Their homes are of the highest quality, well designed and well constructed. The respect held for Pathfinder Homes has meant the company has grown and even in the midst of a recession, they have had to take on larger premises to cope with the demand for their products.

We would highly recommend their homes, which can be seen on their website here

Ed. smile

Thank you for your reply it was most helpfull,However I have been browsing the forum and notice the question of the usefull life of Park homes was raised one person saying they are only expected to last about 25 years,is this true and if so is there any point in buying a second hand park home?.

Hi Peterp100

I must have missed that one. This is absolutely untrue.

The modern park home with the correct care and maintenance should last sixty, seventy years, if not longer. They may well have unwittingly been referring to a static holiday caravan, sometimes now called mobile homes and this is where the confusion steps in, park homes used to be called mobile homes. For the purpose of legislation, they still are.

The manufacturers have a continual programme of sourcing better and more environmentally friendly construction materials and the lifetime of a home subsequently extends.

However, we do come back to those words 'correct care and maintenance' and we would always recommend that if you are purchasing a previously occupied home that you seek the use of a surveyor. I have personally known cases on parks we have owned in the past, where residents have been guilty of doing electrical work, for example, themselves and a survey has pointed this out and in one case, a quite dangerous piece of work.

Have a good weekend.

Ed.
