insulation

Hello, can  anyone  shed  some  light  on  wall insulation (exturnal )  now  Im  quite  angry  about  this, only  certain  parts  of  the  country  do  park  homes  qualify  for  this..Wye borough  being  one , I  have  contacted  Warm  Front  old  Tom  Cobbly  and  all  about  this, my  argument  being ...the  majority  of  people  living  in  park  homes  are  retired, we  pay  into  the  energy  pot  the  same  as  bricks  and  morter..yet  we  or  should  I  say  some  of  us  cant  benefit  by  goverment  funding  (or  they  like  us  to  believe )  to  insulate  our  homes  to  a  higher  standered..........once  more  parkhome  owners  miss  out..I  get  so  frustrated  about  issues  concerning  us  all , Ed  I  know  you  take  the  moral  high ground  on  park  sites  and  I  appreciate  what  your  saying  and  on  your  sites  I  know  things  must  be  spot  on ....but  there  are  so  many  sites  where  laws  are  just  not  carried  out...and  the  people  who  SHOULD  see  that  these  so  called  laws  are  carried  out  dont  give  a  tinkers  cuss  because  they  know  they  can  get  away  with  it...its  a  minefield........................report  to  the  local  council .......sounds  so  easy ..but  we  have  to  live  with  the  outcome...finding  it  very  difficult  to  sell  if  the  need  arose....parkhome  law  are  just  words.................Ive  seen  decent  people  in  tears..and  the  worse  part  is..noone  can  help.
I  wish  all  sites  had  independant  managment  ( by  law )..maybe  the  site  licience  is  out  dated...and  councils  need  to  get  off  their  arses  and  check  sites....we  as  human  beings  deserve  the  best  there  is...and  its  not  happening .  evergreen

Evergreen - could you just read through your post and then make it clearer for the rest of us, who you are trying to blame.

You started by talking of wall insulation and I can tell you that the Government includes park homes within the grants offered by the Local Councils. I know and have read of loads of park homes taking the opportunity. I think you have also posted a topic on this subject before with regards to homes on your park.

However, I am sure you have heard of the cutbacks which the Local Councils are experiencing. The grant fund pot is not infinite and if they reach the end of the monies for that year, then it doesn't matter what accommodation you live in you will have to wait.

I'm glad you have noticed that I take the moral high ground, which I do, but on both sides of the fence. If the park owner is in the wrong, I'm not afraid to say so.

Halfway through your post you seem to attach the blame to the park owner again. These grants have nothing to do with the park owner and everything to do with the Local Council. Have a go at them! This is between you and the Local Council. The park owner is not there to fight on your behalf.

Try not to get in such a tizz. If you explain your point more calmly, we would have more opportunity to understand what you are trying to say.

Hello  Ed  if  what  you  say  is  correct..then   Warm  Front..The  Energy  Trust..ect   say  that  park  homes  do  not  qualify, I  was  told  that  parkhomes  in  a  cirtain  area  were  given  insulation  as  a  tester  really..the  conclusion  being, it  wasnt  worth  it..................I  had  a  surveyer  come  out  and  I  was  given  a  grant  of  3000£..only  to  be  told  the  next  day  sorry  but  parkhomes   dont  come  under  the  criteria..maybe  the  right hand  dosnt  know  what  the  left  hand  is  doing. Errrr no  I  dont  attatch  the  insulation  blame  onto  the  site  owner.......and  the  last  person  I  would  want  fighting  my  corner  is  the  site  owner.........but  then  again  wouldnt  it  be  nice  to  be  on  the  same  side........................Now  the  TIZZ!!!  I  get  angry  and  yes  quickly  if  and  when  I  feel  parkhome  owners  are  missing  out. Ed  you  say  I  blame  the  park  owner  AGAIN!!, im sorry  but  to  me  that  infers  that  Im  on  here  cribbing  about  site  owners, the  things  that  I  say  I  speak  from  experience.is  there  any  other  way?
