Sited or unsited?
We're currently researching the pro's and con's of buying a park home. Is there any advice out there please about buying a ph with siting included, or buying one privately and getting it sited Iie. cost / pitfalls)?

Hello tycki good to see you , Ed is the person for you , also theres lots of advice in the posts if you check the menu you will find plenty of advice on most matters, good luck evergreen
Hi tycki
Unless you have planning permission for a park home on your own land, you won't be able to buy a park home and site it on someone else's - unless of course, you are looking to move on a Council owned park and I don't think even they allow many to do that these days. There are too much legislation you could fall foul of.
I have personally only ever known that happened once, when I was building a new park near Bracknell. The prospective purchasers thought our prices were too expensive and so they went to a small park down the road and did it themselves (it was in the 1980's!!). They had the grace to telephone me once they had moved in to tell me what a hard job it was and the overall costs were more than had they purchased from me!
Ed.
Thanks for the responses, which really answers the question whether or not it's cheaper or as cheap to buy a park home and site it somewhere (with the appropriate permissions) or buy a ph with siting / installation included in the price.

Tycki why not mention what part of the country you are looking to Buy at and maybe others can advise you on possible parks to go to! Or if its completely down to price tell the forum your budget and members will be able to tell you what good deals we know off!
You can of course, search on Park Home Living by putting in a minimum and maximum price level.
We currently have 303 homes being advertised.
