Well, this category never got off the ground, but before I remove it, has anyone any ideas what they might like to see in its place?

Hello Ed, how about just a chit chat page without actually going into a chatroom, Im sure there must be members hideing their light under a bushel lol , maybe add some wisdom a poem or just say Hi hows your day going ?......just a thought ...evergreen

Sorry for the delay in replying.
The problem with a Chit Chat page won't have changed from when we had one before. The serious posts get lost among the chit chat on the Recent Post list on the right hand side of this page and some of Member's questions will get lost again.
I think I will just give it time for you to read this post and then I'll just take it off until we have a better idea.

Have you thought about maybe a "classified ads" section for members who have things they want to buy/sell that are park home specific? (Eg internal doors wanted; lpg gas fire for sale etc etc). You could make it the advertisers' responsibility to close their post once they have obtrained/sold whatever they are advertising? Just a thought!

Indeed we have. The problem with offering more facilities is the cost. To have a proper classified section, build the software to integrate with our existing would be in the four figure region.
We unfortunately couldn't leave it to the advertiser to close the post when sold. It just wouldn't happen. It would have to run on a time limit. The majority of our private resale customers don't tell us when they have sold their home. We usually learn the hard way, by irate people on the phone! 
I'll have a look in the back end of our forum software supplier and see if they have introduced a widget to put in the right hand side column. That might be possible, but I don't think very efficient.
