Just the begining of our quest

#0, by ladybug50, 22 August 2011 12:34 PM

Hi everyone, nice to meet you all...

My other half and I are now counting down the days to his retirement, ( Not mine got a long way to go!!!) sad and our quest is to find a lodge in Cornwall ( or that part of the world) and watch the sunrise... before i go off to work and he stays home.....

I have read a few snippets of information and begining to feel out of my depth, where do I start, what should i avoid. There appears to be a lot of wolves in the woods..... I,  sorry we would appreicate any advise, any webs sites to look at  etc.

The only thing we can tell you is we dont want to live on a holiday site, and we arnt looking for a log cabin, or static caravan. We have rented a couple of times a lodge which we loved and we have only looked a brand new one once.......

HI Ladybug50 and welcome to the forum

Sorry for the delay in replying. I have been away on family business.

We do have a 'Buying a park home' page and at the bottom of the page, you can click through to a 'Step by Step' Guide. I also recommend that you download the Government Park Home Factsheets, which you can find on our 'Downloads' page. The top two would be the ones you need to read - 'Pitch fees and other payments to the Site Owner' and ' Resident's Rights and Obligations'.

Once you are armed with all that knowledge, it will put you in good stead to proceed with your search!!

smile

Ed.
