Hello from a new member

#0, by stickybud, 19 October 2011 02:29 PM

Hi. I've lived in my park home for 20 years and love it. Only downside is when our lovely site owner passed away, our site was bought by an inscupulous site owner, and we have been subjected to all the harassment, intimidation, lack of maintenance etc. However, a strong residents association and backing from the local council have resulted in prosecution and now site owner has dissappeared off the face of the earth. Letters returned gone away, phone number no longer in existence. What we want to know, are we legally obliged to keep paying our pitch fee when we don't know where he is?

Hi stickybud and welcome to the forum,

Yes, I'm afraid you must still pay rent as it is part of your agreement that you must do so.

Hopefully, he has gone away to try and sell the park to someone who will treat the residents a lot better!

However, he is required by law to give a contact address.

Regards

Ed.
