Mobile Home Acts

#0, by dragon, 31 October 2011 06:24 PM

On Our Rent rise letter we receive every year it always states that we must gain permission for exterior alterations (I agree that one ) but also for any inside alterations. I cannot see what inside has to do with the Owner of the site as we own our Park Home and cannot see why we have to gain permission to alter inside.
They say its to protect both of us from any changes in the Mobile Home Act ????

Im enjoying every day --so should you

Hi Dragon

First of all, let me apologise for not having replied to you until now. Somehow your post has slipped through the net!

No you don't have to seek permission from the park owner for alterations on the inside of your home. Provided you use a NEICIC registered electrician for any electrical work and a Corgi registered plumber for any gas work, it has nothing to do with the park owner. If you are making any structural changes it would be wise to consult with the manufacturer though!

Your last sentence doesn't make any sense. Go to our Downloads page and download the Government Park Home sheet - Resident's Rights and Obligations. Have a good read and then you can sort them out!

Regards

Ed.
