Buying new or secondhand

#0, by marge, 07 December 2011 04:06 PM

Hi there I am a new member, having looked at this site for a long time now!

A few questions I would like to ask members.

We have been looking to buy a park home for a long time now and have looked a many parks and been to open days at a park home manufacturers. We have decided on a model and layout we both like
The problem we have now is finding a park with a plot (40 x 20) big enough to put it on in the area we have decided to relocate to. (Staffordshire) and close to access M42.

We have a limited amount of cash!

Do any members know of anyResidential  Parks in this area that have plots available, or in the New Year.

Thanks
Marge

Hi Marge and welcome to the forum

Unfortunately, Staffordshire is one of the very few counties where we have no parks that advertise with us, so we have no idea what is available in that county.

If you click through this link it will take you to a list of the residential parks in the county, but I fear you will need to contact them individually to see what they have available.

Hi Ed,
Thanks for your reply.
I have used your search for sites/plots etc, to no avail.
There are 4 park homes in the area we are looking at, the one we liked best was to expensive, one other had plots but they were not big enough. and a 3rd had a new home(40x20) on it but was not to our liking although the price was attractive.

We will carry on lookng and hope eventually we will fnd something otherwise we may start lookng n the Warwckshiire area.

Cheers
Marge

Just googled "residential park homes in staffordshire" and amongst what came up on screen was this nice unit near Stafford

Dont know the park nor the park owner. You do need to do your homework carefully. Fidning the right park with a good park owner is arguably more important then getting your ideal unit (if it is already sited).
